Come and get it here. ;D . blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=29851910&blogId=537997514QuQuote. "Hey there, Juanita here....sorry for the oh so long delay between posts! We have been busy writing, recording demos, changing labels, sifting through red tape, being frustrated and equally enlightened at various results and changes in the bands life! BUT, the good news is we finally have a date to start recording our 3rd album. September 15th we're off to record in the desert, where the Mojave meets the lights. We have a bunch of songs to work from and a dam good idea of which direction we wanna to head in. Hope you've all been well and can not WAIT to upload the new tracks as soon as they are done!x"

Changing labels? That's new... I guess it might take longer than we'd hoped.

Thanks for the heads up Mike. I wondered if something was going on with Independiente because their website has had no Howling Bells updates for over a year.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Mojave desert was closer to LA than LV? Perhaps it's midway between, because 'meets the lights' does suggest Vegas.
Starting recording September 15th means the album won't be out until summer 2011..... but hopefully some of the new songs will be on Myspace before then.

Finally something new from Juanita! Thank you so much for posting this important update. The label change surprised me a bit at first but reflecting the band's development Independiente was not a really supporting company for them. You have heard it in the sound of the Radio Wars production, it is way too plain if you compare it to their live versions of the songs and the style of the Debut album. HB are making independent music and they know that they should remain doing that. Good that they could make the move and found a new label to have more artistical freedom. Mojave desert sounds like a very inspiring place to record a dusty, raw sound. I'm hoping for the best. I also cannot wait for the tracks to be uploaded. Howling Bells are the best.

oh they're changing labels?! I wasn't expecting that at all I don't know why but the simple mention of the Mojave desert is already making this album sound exciting! I really hope they'll start posting news more often now LOL that would be awesome

Great news - there's a new Blog on the Howling Bells Myspace page! We are inspired too!
October 28, 2010 - Thursday inspiration information So, all is well and dandy in the Bells camp! We have been rather industrious of late and very, very inspired indeed. Working on Album 3, never enjoyed the process more than now.

Good one Cyn! Sounds promising.
How long from finishing mixing to album release? 4-5 months?

Nice! We'll be hearing a new album before long. 2011 should be a good year for Howling Bells.
