This is great! I've never found much from this early before. Where did you find this?
Just a note about dates, European and American style. 12-11-05 to us is 12th November 2005, but to you it would be 11th December. This Hamburg gig (unknown to me before now) is November 12th, as you say, the day before they played Berlin. I guess it's supporting Editors too.
Well done mattchew for finding this! New entry just made on the gigography!
Who's the guy on the right-hand photo on the second row? Never seen him before.

Whoops, I meant to do the date the other way around too. Can you edit the title, blade? If not I will get Lee to do it. I just came across it while I was searching stuff on the band. I can't even remember how. I tried searching for a venue but couldn't find anything. I don't know who is that guy either, but it looks like he's scratchin some vinyl. Maybe they had a fifth leg back in those days. ;D Edit: Well, since you say they were supporting The Editors, I guess the name of the venue would be Molotow.

Thanks for locating that Editors tour list. I've never been able to find a definitive list of dates for that tour, and on which ones Howling Bells were support. Even this lastfm list can't be complete because it doesn't include some dates I found elsewhere and it lists others I didn't have (Belgium, Groningen) but doesn't mention that Howling Bells played them. But then it also doesn't mention Howling Bells at other venues where I found other (unconfirmed) evidence that they did play. All very confusing, But, mattchew, you have provided the Hamburg gig I didn't know about before and the venue of the Berlin gig, which I didn't have. See if you can do some more detective work and confirm some of the other dates on that tour! And don't worry about the format of the dates - we can work it out between us. The Postbahnhof sounds a funny place to play though, It means "Mail Railway Station". This isn't Hamburg, but it's the same tour - Melkweg, Amsterdam, by Mr Middel: www.flickr.com/photos/mrmiddel/sets/1194708/Going even further away from Hamburg, a comment here says they played Geneva with Editors, which I don't have and which isn't listed on the Editors lastfm list, and another mentions them playing the Marquee, which I guess must be USA, and Canberra, but don't know where or when for either of these. Mattchew, I need your help! comment.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewComments&friendID=29851910&page=75&state=3739!50!1!184124042!183987116 Don't click on this link because it won't work - you have to copy and paste the whole thing.

I have found another 2005 tour date that isn't on the lastfm Editors's tour schedule either. I am going to thread it separately, the same way I have been doing with all the other shows, just so it will have a home. Also, it will come in handy as a sub-section of a gigography that I think we should establish here on the board. It will work like this: We set up the gigography here at the board, just as a separate thread. So, if you could just imagine it being like a tree. The gig list is the trunk. You click the date you want to see pics and reviews of, which in turn takes you to the proper thread in the media section that are already established. Those would be the branches. The pics and reviews within that show's thread are like the leaves. Does that make sense? If there is no information on a show it would still be listed, just not linked. The great thing about that is you won't have to have Microsoft Excel, or Quattro(like I have)to open it. Also, it will be online so it will be much faster and more convenient. It will cut the browsing time by....90%. Everything will all be in one place. The only problem is that whoever starts that thread is the only person that will have access to it, so only that person, along with he who has administrative power (Lee) will be able to modify it. I pasted that address blade, but the page it opened said nothing existed, so I dunno.

Sounds a great idea but I'll have to read it more closely in a day or two (when I have more time) to see what it might entail.
That Myspace comments page won't copy the whole link, for some reason. I did a google search for
Howling Bells Editors 2005
and it was the 7th one down on the first page.
In case you can't get it, here's what was said. It was the first ever page of comments on the Howling Bells Myspace page, the first ever one being September 21st 2005.
15 Nov 2005 13:27 hello ! thanks for the add... i saw you in geneva (ch) with EDITORS. actually, that was the first time i saw a band and thought: "goddamn, they're all top-models or what ?!?" LOL the bass player looked like a nasty brad pitt and the singer was so sweet... you're lucky devils.
