Not that I understand any of this, but it must go some way to explaining why Juanita is always in tip-top condition, regardless of lack of sleep and zillions of hours spent on a tour bus.

Exclsuive Interview with Juanita Stein from Howling Bells by Lauren Holden
HAVING formed in Sydney, Australia in 2004, indie rock act Howling Bells are well and truly settled in good old England, after moving here just four years ago.
Since then they’ve received rave reviews in NME magazine and spent the last few years touring Europe, Australia and the US. Lauren Holden speaks to the band’s only female member, Juanita Stein about make-up, music and more.
Lauren: What have you been up to musically lately? I know you've recently had a rave review in NME
Juanita: We've just released our second album, 'Radio Wars'. And we're off to Oz for some festival shows!
Lauren: What's your daily beauty routine?
Juanita: I make an effort to drink lots of water and I eat rather well. Generally staying away from processed crap and starchy foods. It does make a big difference. It’s also all about lashings of black mascara and liquid eyeliner.
Lauren: So, if you’re getting ready for a performance, what products do you usually break out of your make-up bag?
Juanita: I recently bought a little make-up mirror for the tour bus. I've spent many a night trying to apply liquid eyeliner in the dark, not so fun. I've always been afraid of foundation/cover up, it rarely looks flattering. So usually I just apply a shimmery moisturiser, shade the eyebrows, line the inside of my eyes with black kohl, a thick line of black liquid eyeliner with a ’60s flick at the end, eyelash curler of course, lashings of black mascara and some pearly shimmer around inside of eye area and cheekbones. Otherwise I just dab some rouge on my lips for a messy look.
Lauren: What's your top make-up tip?
Juanita: Using black kohl on the inside of your upper eyelid. It outlines your eyes so much better. And of course balance your make up, if it’s heavy eyes - then soft lips.
Lauren: Finally, what's in the pipeline for yourself and the band? Juanita: Tour, tour, tour, tour and more touring! I see us writing and demoing songs for a new record. You can never truly stop the creative process!
