You didn't look far enough back - Lee has recommended School of Seven Bells before!
Between you and me, I have an illegal copy of their first (only?) album - I like it but not enough to buy a legal copy!

Aw man it might actually be because of him; I have a huge list of bands to check out (a dozen or so through this forum) but never write down who recommended them. Oh well.
New album's coming out in a few weeks.

And, apparently, as well as Howling Bells and School Of Seven Bells and Broken Bells, there are groups called Sleigh Bells and Hurricane Bells too!
I don't know what the last two sound like (Bells, probably).

I thought that the first album "Alpinisms" of SOSB was really good. "Face to face on high places" was incredibly good song and I played it a LOT. "Disconnect From Desire" will be hyped a lot soon. One to watch out for sure.

Wow this is amazing!
I'm a fan of all those bells bands mentioned!
Sleigh Bells- Alexis Krauss is a babe! I caught the duo earlier in the year! I had a bag of ice cus it was so frikken hot here. I missed out on so many decent bands during the festival but I had to see these guys! They were so much fun and at one stage Alexis threw water at the crowd only for it to land on the photographers' cameras! Hillarious.. But the media seemed pissed off! Haha.
School of Seven Bells- they're not so big here yet but a minority of triple j listeners love these guys. Triple j are known for their love of the new york scene... Every third song they play is basically by some new yorker...
Broken Bells- I love Danger Mouse. Man's a genius! They are loved here in australia (triple j listeners ie)!
