Just to prompt people who didn't see my post in another thread, you can record streaming audio using a program you can dpwnload from here: www.download.com/SoundCapture/3000-2168_4-10079089.html?tag=lst-3&cdlPid=10117490Instructions to use it:- Save the file in My Documents then double click it to install. Any prompts on the installation just press 'yes' or 'next'. You'll then get an icon on your desktop that looks like a floppy disk. Double click it to run the program. A box comes up with "No task" in green text. This changes to a timer when you're recording. Go to 'options' at the top and a box comes out to the right. Change the 'Hz' box to 48000 - this is the recording rate - if it's wrong the recorded sound comes out too fast or too slow, 78 or 33 instead of 45rpm! Above this shows where the recorded file will be saved as an mp3 file - note where this is so you can rename it and move it later. The file will be saved as something like 200808091515.mp3 (which is the date and time of the recording) but you can rename it to something meaningful. Make sure the third tab along the top says 'music' and not 'voice'. Don't know how the 'mixer' works so don't touch it. To record press the round button at the bottom, which changes to red and the timer starts. To stop, press the square button. You might have to experiment when is the best moment to press 'start recording' - you have to time it for just before the audio stream starts. Don't press the mouse button or any keys while recording as you'll record these too.

I used Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (as always) and ripped both streams. The Adam and Joe bit with Nightingale features the same recording of the song as on Lamaqc, but the beggining has been edited to make it more radio friendly, and the end is missing. The lamacq stream is the one best to rip off

I've only been able to find Cool Edit Pro with a 30-day trial period, otherwise it's $29.95 to buy. Sound Capture doesn't appear to be as good or as versatile but at least it's free.

Sorry to sound thick, but how do I do that? I'm too old to understand all these abbreviations!
