Last night I went to The Harley for the second time in a few weeks, to see 2:54, whose new album “The Other I” was released recently. I haven’t seen them live before, but the new album certainly doesn’t have the ‘edge’ of their self-titled debut. Equipment and mixing problems didn’t help, and they weren’t as dynamic as I expected them to be. I’d still go and seen them again, though, when some of the new songs have grown on me. 2:54 new single “Blindfold” www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7Sa9_TxtB8In mid October I saw Annie Eve at the same venue. Two weeks earlier I had not heard of her but a chance viewing on Youtube got me hooked. Despite the small audience, she was mind-blowing, and very friendly to talk to afterwards. If she’s playing near you, you must go and see her.
