How wonderful!
But this was seven months ago ..... I thought the Germans were supposed to be efficient.

Can't help thinking from a PR standpoint they'd've benefited from it being like a little bit less delayed.
Deevine though.

This was a wonderful session, although Joel and Glenn looked like they didn't have much to do. What was strange/fascinating/incredible in these videos is that Juanita's singing sounds always so pro and ready. There was this other pledge-video before where they were playing in the woods and it sounded like her singing came from a tape when it wasn't. It's so strange. Many singers don't sound at all like they do on record and sometimes that is very disappointing. Juanita sounds effortlessly so cool and sure and the melodies just seem to flow out of her.
There are few other singers who can do that. Judee Sill comes to mind, if somebody remembers her. In her demos the singing appeared fully formed right from the beginning and live she was able to sound exactly the same as well.

You're quite right, I was completely blown away when I first noticed this on the pledge vid, it is surreal how talented she is, nowdays I guess it's something I've come to expect of her. I don't think it's the sort of thing anyone can just go and do; from all I've read I think she was pretty obsessive about singing from very young; certainly she knows her voice and how to use it better than the vast majority of us. & yeah it did amuse me how maybe G & J look a bit lost without any instruments other than their legs to hold onto, creative though; at least they're not doing the stereotypical maraca / tamborine / bongo thing.
