Howling Bells fans would probably dig this band. They're a greater NYC band called The Lost Patrol, not to be confused with a Swede pop/punk band of the same name. Both bands have that twangy, spaghetti western darkwave thing going on, but that's about it. Enjoy. www.thelostpatrol.comwww.facebook.com/thelostpatrolAttachments:

Kinda dreamy, they've earned a 'like' off me. I like the cover artwork on their last couple albums... & the list of genres they've got to their name on Wikipedia: ''experimental, gothic, post-punk, dark wave, folk, alternative country, shoegazing, spaghetti western, and "surf-a-billy."...

Cool! They've been around in one form another since 1999, but this lineup seems to be the one! They do lots of different sounds as wiki mentions, but it's all very accessible and catchy.

The Lost Patrol make their BIG SCREEN debut appearing in Amy Heckerling's (Clueless, Fast Times at Ridgemont High) new film Vamps, which comes out around Halloween 2012. The film has an amazing cast including: Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Malcolm McDowell, Wallace Shawn, Richard Lewis, Justin Kirk, Dan Stevens, Todd Barry, Zak Orth and many others.
This is the first film Amy and Alicia have done together since Clueless.
The North American version of this film features 4 songs by The Lost Patrol, AND they appear in a club scene early on in the film. The non-North American versions of the film may contain an additional TLP song.
Having seen this film twice, now I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're not really into the vampire craze or are over it by now, don't let that deter you from seeing this film. Amy's "rom-com" stamp on this film is most prevalent. It's like you're not even watching a vampire flick at times. Cute, heartwarming, smart, and LOL funny. I mean c'mon Wally Shawn as Van Helsing and Malcolm McDowell as Vlad the Impaler. It's well-done! Go see it.
