I've always wondered by a video was done for Broken Bones, seeing as it was never released as a single. You will all have seen it on Youtube but this is the website of the production company, New Zealand-based Zoomslide. I was hoping to email them to see if they knew anything about why it was made but I can't find an email address - only a postal address. Anyway, click on the still of Juanita and the video opens in a new window. www.zoomslide.com/show_work.php?id=1Video details: Production date: November 2006 DIRECTOR ADAM JONES PRODUCER HEATHER LEE PRODUCTION MANAGER LANCE HIPKINS DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY RICHARD PARSONSON POST PRODUCTION CONRAD SMITH EDITOR PHIL BROWN

Nice find, for some reason I can't get the video to play. (A problem with Quicktime!) Is the quality better than whats already on youtube ?

Yes, I've found Quicktime temperamental too! So here it converted to avi. It appears better quality than the one on Youtube but it's difficult to tell as so much of it is an old black and white cowboy film! www.megaupload.com/?d=LJU50U12It's 23MB. I've also found the production company that made the Cities Burning Down video. They're called Lodger Films. Link here: www.lodgerfilms.com/#/productionand for the video: www.lodgerfilms.com/#/direction/piperferguson/featured/90541I'm adding this production and director information to the Wikipedia page (including the info mattchew found about the aborted Digital Hearts video), so I now need to find the same details for the earlier videos. Any help would be appreciated! [Edit] I've just found the production company website for the Blessed Night video! I'll stick it up here later - no time now cos it's Friday night and I'm going out on the razz in a few minutes!

Cheers Blade
The quality is better for sure, not so much flicker in the picture that you get with the youtube video..

Brilliant cyn! Like Mike earlier, I'm having trouble with Quicktime so the video is slow loading, and also Rapidshare tells me there are no download slots available, so I'll try later. Here's an alternative link. It's avi, 47MB, great quality. www.megaupload.com/?d=SSUAQ1NIThere are links to loads of Howling Bells and Waikiki videos in this thread: howlingbells.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=howlingbellsmedia&action=display&thread=217&page=1If there's anything you want but the link is dead, send me a PM and I'll re-upload it (but the Broken Bones and Blessed Night links in this current thread are the best ones).

Dang, nice job blade! Some good info there. My system just got shwacked so I think I may have to get something new. That's awful generous of you blade to think of other people before yourself. That's a big thing over here. I know Mike already posted Blessed Night, so Cyn if you want to upload one of those vids to your channel as well go ahead because I'm going to be trying to figure out what's wrong with my machine for probably a few days. You might want to check out contactmusic though. Seems they have a better copy than Davey Inc. I know, doesn't seem like it would be possible, but... The one from the production company seems to have a funky warble on the audio. I'm not capable right now of listening to Mike's upload, so I don't know how it sounds, but if you used their copy it probably sounds like what I'm talking about. You might like the contactmusic copy better.

Alright, I'm back. Same setup. Damn malware threw my system for a loop! ;D
I just got a chance to listen to mike's upload. The video quality is beautiful. If you guys aren't listening through headphones you may not notice what I'm talking about. It's nothing huge, it's just sounds like background noise or something.

I found an email adress for Adam Jones, the director of the Broken Bones video. He works for the production company, New Zealand-based Zoomslide.
I asked Adam if he knew why the video was made when Broken Bones wasn't released as a single. He replied straightaway, saying:
Good question - great song I thought. It was released here in New Zealand and also in Australia but I don't think it was in the UK. I met the guys when they were being managed by Grant Thomas in Sydney as he also managed Steriogram, another band I'd done clips for. We shot the video when the band were over here for a showcase on the way back to the UK. The background footage is all from public domain westerns. Cheers Adam
Thanks Adam!
Has anyone ever seen the Australian or New Zealand single? What's on the b-side?

The screen size of those videos is very similar to screen size of one of the greatest openings to one of the greatest movies in film history. See for yourself... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vW2ryP16Vk
