Nice one! I've always wondered where that video was filmed and I've just watched it again to see if I recognised anywhere in Berlin, having been there. For a brief moment they're standing below a neon sign that says "Sex Kinos" (which I've never noticed before) so that definitely places it in Germany (not that I'm familiar with that type of establishment!). They also walk through what appears to be an airport or something. Tempelhof? Well done - guess I'll add this info to the Wiki page. [Edit] And while we're on the subject of Howling Bells videos. here's the webpage of the girl (Lynsey Wright?) who appeared in the "Low Happening" video: www.modelmayhem.com/145472

A review of Steve Smyth show from gf of Juanita, Shannon Andreucci, same gir that write the blog. Glenn play d drums and Juanita sing for one song. He is friend also. His voice remind me of the great Tim Buckley: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDvxQNQhRLUGlenn play some drums for The Pierces' new album, Love You More. www.myspace.com/thepiercesOh yeah, Natalie Miller, you want me to do it for you. There it is. poptrashaddicts.blogspot.com/2010/01/natalie-miller-pop-trash-interview.htmlEdit: Might as well say that all Howling Bells played the song, Where the Wild Roses Grow, with Tom Smith, not just Juanita. Both known shows. As well, Bella Union Anniversary show - Howling Bells, Beach House, My Latest Novel, and Simon Raymonde play Johnny Cash song, A Thing Called Love. You can see in pictures. Don't forget, they cover as well, Helter Skelter.

Ta very much for all the new info. I'll stick it up on the Wiki page when I get chance.
And the Shannon Andreucci gig review includes a Youtube clip of Juanita singing with Steve Smyth, so it's well worth looking at.

There's a thread about it in this very forum here. The OP links to a youtube video of the performance; I'm pretty sure Juanita is the only member of the female variety there, as an aside.

I'll update the Wiki page tonight when I get a bit of time. The thing about Glenn playing at King Tut's was on Shannon Andreucci's "four weeks with the queen" blog.
I saw your photo of the Setting Sun video location, but do you have a street name or area (in London I presume)?
And thanks for the other stuff about Glenn and Brendan.

An nice update from Shannon's blog, entitled "The Last Supper": fourweekswiththequeen.wordpress.com/2010/09/16/the-last-supper/Brandon Flowers plays a secret gig in London, after which Juanita has dinner with him and his band... then a farewell meal for Howling Bells before they jet off to Vegas to record the new album...

Setting Sun video can be downloaded from Dan Fernbach at Static. Click Blessed Night to download it. Video details can be found in 'Press' section. BN was Static as well. I emailed him to find out. Wishing Stone, I don't know any details. Just looked at the video, a few pics, and a couple of reviews to figure out where. One review is here. Read it and you can deduce that a video was filmed there. This interview, at the bottom, Juanita says that Velvet Girl was a single in Australia. The source for Lumberjack Jack.Arena for 12-15-06 Berlin was Treptow. Five more Waikiki compilation albums here.I wish to not bring new post anymore.

Thanks to Mattchew's link to Static Films and his photo of the Setting Sun video outdoor location, we now know exactly where the video was shot. Director Dan Fernbach's press page on staticfilms.net says the indoor shots were done at the Coronet Theatre, which is on New Kent Road, London Borough of Southwark. The video link www.staticfilms.net/howlingbells.mov on Dan's site is a lot better quality than anything I've seen on Youtube (that's if you can get Quicktime movie player to work, which isn't always easy). A quick look at the London A-Z suggested that Elephant Road might be the road in Mattchew's photo. Elephant Road is off New Kent Road, next to the Elephant and Castle. And this photo below, which is of Elephant Road Park, confirms it. The lamppost, the railings, the cycle track on the pavement and the buliding in the background give it away.
