A section for loose photos, mentions, blogs, merchandise, etc. The spot for something you come across and don't know quite where to index it. Here is the place. I checked out the radio station website wondering if there might be an interview with Howling Bells there somewhere, but couldn't find one. There are loads of mp3 downloads of other interviews though, so have a look, there may be something that interests you.
Sorry mattchew - don't know where that photo comes from, but it looks as if it's in a studio, rather than a live gig.

Part of Treasure Hunt in decent quality just posted on youtube by: EnergySharkPicture of Brendan from Carling Leeds Festival 2006 courtesy of: Ben Broomfield (Backup)It's been a couple weeks now since Ben responded to an email where he said: "Yes I believe I have a few in my archive, what do you need them for and how soon do you need them?" I replied back that we could always use new members here and that he could post them here himself if he wanted or he could send them to me and I could post em up. I haven't heard from him since. Pics courtesy of: Christopher SamuelI've been waiting three weeks for a response from Chris about his photos...nothing yet, but I'm pretty confident that they're from Newtown in Sydney 11-28-06. 1 pic from Radar Festival courtesy: Bojan OkornThis guy just wants to play games. He responded to an email I sent translated to Croatian asking if he has any more photos. He responded back twice with: "Pa imam!", which means "And I" in Croatian...so I told him his momma sucks elephant dicks.

I remember seeing this video last year but at the time didn't even think to see if it was on youtube. Making of Radio Wars courtesy: Mikey EatonMaybe you all have this, I dunno: playmusicpickup *feb 2009 Not sure if this is from inside the magazine from above or what - courtesy: vrederick (Backup)Edit: Someone tell me if myself or somebody else has posted this before, because it looks very familiar to me for some reason. Just starting to look again for the pages that I lost back when my computer took a crap, so I'll have more coming...

The "Making Of Radio Wars" video used to be on the shortlived Howlingbells.net, but it disappeared last July along with the website. Well done for finding it again!

Thank you so much for the Making of video - loved to see them "at work". They also had real violins in the studio for Into the chaos - you don't find that too often today. Funny looking scene with Brendan singing the background vocals ;D. If you're not a professional musician you sometimes forget about all the work and efforts behind making music. After watching this video I just imagined being a musician coming into a studio with just a few song notes in my hands and now I would have to make whole album out of it ...that could really get a bit complicated and frustrating at times . Respect for all the patience the Bells or other serious musicians have in the studio - this is also a necessary quality if you want to make good music.

You're welcome, velvetgirl, but I just found it. The person we need to thank would be Mikey Eaton. I tried to contact him to see if it would be okay with him if I added the video to my youtube channel, but I couldn't get through, so I figured screw it. I do agree though, Brendan does look pretty goofy in that one scene. ;D

Liberation just created a new youtube channel and let me know that they had posted a clean cut of the Into the Chaos video. They also let me know how much everybody liked what I'd done with the Cities Burning Down video, which caught me by surprise, but was extremely gracious, so praise to them. That made me think of an interview with Juanita conveying the differences between people in Australia and England. How that Australians are very open, unhinged, and easygoing, very much willing to assist a stranger with help if they needed it, and that most people were just the opposite in England...I must say I believe it. Here's Liberation's video: Into the ChaosAlso, here's an interview with James Sandom, who is the band's manager. Not very interesting, just shows you what he looks like and what his basic duties are: Pro-MusicA small review and a few of his actual size pics from Liverpool O2 Academy courtesy: Mike Hughes (catshoegazing) (Backup)Courtesy: Mike Gray/m g gray

As usual mattchew you've found lots of good stuff. The Liverpool pictures are spot on, especially the black and white one. For some reason Howling Bells seem ideally suited to B&W photos rather than colour.
James Sandon. Hmmm. Interesting video, but I've emailed him a couple of times and he's never replied.
The Into The Chaos video was on (like the Making Of Radio Wars video you found) the old howlingbells.net website before it met its demise. It was never an 'official' music video that was played on MTV or owt like that (as far as I know), but still, it's a great find.
And the comparison between English and Australian people. It depends where in England you come from. In Yorkshire (and other regions of England, especially in the north) most people are helpful, friendly and welcoming. London, where Juanita lives, may be different. London isn't the same as the rest of Britain. That's my experience anyway.

The Liverpool pics were just a couple little extras I thought I'd include. I've got lots of other big stuff here but probably won't post it. It doesn't make much sense for me to if you're not going to construct the gig list the way I had envisioned it. You took my idea, used half of it and the other half you just disregarded, and frankly it doesn't look good. It's really.....big.
No, the thing with the differences between people in the two countries really comes from my experience here. Nobody else says anything here so I don't expect it from them, but if you had an ounce of integrity within you, blade, you would have said something like "hey, nice job with the video", or something similar. The only reason that whoever the thoughtful soul from Liberation was that notified me that Into the Chaos was up was to tell me good job with the video, but I guess that was because they didn't have it out for me because of the caption contest or because I knew that the session was from Little Rock...right, brew? Be honest.
