This is another unknown tour date. Six lonely photographs. I contacted the gentlemen who took the photos and he confirmed the venue and date. It apparently was a free two day festival called, Cooperative Music. The second night was an all Aussie lineup which included, Architecture in Helsinki, as well as, Justine Electra.
I think I remember Juanita saying in a radio interview that they never ever played in Paris, but she also alludes to that as well in the time off street press interview, where in the second to last paragraph she states that they have only played their in support of Mercury Rev. She must have forgotten..
Blimey - you've found yet another new (old) gig! I'll have to see if I can find exactly where that festival was - maybe it wasn't right in the city of Paris, which is why Juanita can't remember going there. You can't forget Paris once you've been!
I've looked up the location of La Flèche d’Or and found it on my map of Paris - it's on rue de Bagnolet, which isn't far from the centre, so it's a surprise that Juanita can't remember playing there. It must have been dark!
