There is a 7" vinyl (blue), with Stories as the b-side and a download version with a b-side (can downloads have b-sides?) of Radio Wars Theme Part II, which is instrumental, strings only.
We're still hoping someone can come up with an mp3 of Stories.
Congratulations on getting someone to give you a mortgage!

That is WHEN i get my hands on the vinyl!!!!! BRISTOL RECORD SHOPS SUCK!!!!!!! Fopp is my best bet, or so I thought. They had ordered the single in plenty of time so that the shop got 15 copies, but STILL NONE have come in It now looks like the shop have given up waiting on Sony to send them the single Fopp said I could order the single in, but it will cost £3.50, which to me seems too much for one 7". Virgin.... no Zavvi..... no.................. Head don't get in new vinyl singles anymore Same with HMV, but at least they can order it in, although it will cost £3.49 Not only am I really annoyed that I still do not own it, I am very concerned for the band that the people who are supposed to distribute their stuff on the week of it's release, aren't doing their job properly. If a band are supposed to get bigger by getting hit singles, how can they possibly do this when a single is not available on the week of it's release? (thus giving it the best chart success). Can anyone out there have a word with someone?

It's the same in Sheffield. Zavvi (ex Virgin) has gone, Fopp has gone, only HMV and a two small local shops left.
Your only other option, it seems, is to order it from HMV.com or recordstore.co.uk.
Then we should bombard these people with emails:
Management: James Sandom james.sandom@supervisionmgt.com Paul Everett paul.everett@supervisionmgt.com
PR: Julie Bland julie@9pr.co.uk
Independiente: info@independiente.co.uk address: 3 Heathfield Terrace, Chiswick, London, W4 4JE

I thought it was (very) limited release too, but I wasn't sure. Maybe nobody can get it because it's sold out?

Hello everyone,
I am very new to the message board, but have been completely enthralled by Howling Bells.
Anyway, I thought I'd let everyone know that I have an .mp3 version of Stories, but I believe it is the same as Radio Wars Theme, Part II. It's 1m 53s in length.
Let me know if anyone is interested.
The b-side names seem to be very frustrating - not sure which ones are correct.

The non-existence of a song called Dublin is probably right, despite it initially being advertised as the b-side of Cities Burning Down. That b-side was actually Hearts & Armor, on both the vinyl and download versions. But Stories and Radio Wars Theme Pt II being the same song? Now, that doesn't sound right. Stories is the b-side of the (UK) vinyl release of Digital Hearts, and it's a proper song, with words and everything, and lasts three minutes-plus. Radio Wars Theme Pt II is a shorter, instrumental version (stringed instruments only) of the Radio Wars Theme album track and is available on download only. It is just under two minutes long. There is a preview of it here: www.7digital.com/artists/howling-bells/digital-hearts/and both the above and this: blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=29851910&blogId=482162774show that they are two separate tracks. Somebody at Independiente doesn't know what they're doing.

After a little searching, I did find this, a preview of "Stories:" www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=186076"Stories" and "Radio Wars Theme, Part II" are indeed different. The digital download from Independiente is "RWT, Part II" although it is labeled "Stories." Oh well.
