Kid B - Posted: Tue Jul 17, 2007 8:35 pm It's not the best of music websites (I can't even remember how I found it!), but The Line of Best Fit is dedicating a week - this week - to Bella Union. Something to do with a... 10th anniversary or something? Nothing I ever heard of... ... Anyway, there's an interview with Juanita in which she's asked about the new album: Have you started writing or recording any material for the new album? Does it have a title and will it follow the same musical direction as your debut? We've been slowly but very consistently working on the next record. We're all writing songs, mostly on our laptops, so inevitably there's a different sound. A little more electronic, but it still maintains all the same characteristics of our first album. Strong melodies and atmosphere. I'm looking forward to hearing exactly what "a little more electronic" means. Here's a link to the full interview: thelineofbestfit.com/2007/07/16/bella-union-week-interview-with-howling-bells/

Cheers for that Alan....don't think I've been waiting for an album quite as much as this one!

Same here! I've already bought two blinding albums this year (British Sea Power and Cathy Davey), and I really can't wait for the new Howling Bells one!
