After many other threads on the go I reckon we should all pool our resources to make the absolute best collection that we can then re-share amongst ourselves until something official comes along to buy. I've not checked for a while so might spend a couple of hours scouring the InterWWWebs over the weekend.
Howling Bells
Low Happening - 672 x 368 - AVI (performance video) Low Happening - 492 x 277 - MOV (story version) Wishing Stone - 768 x 576 - m2v (bordered and MTV2 graphics) Blessed Night - 480 x 360 - MOV Setting Sun - 320 x 240 - FLV Broken Bones - 320 x 240 - MOV
* Both Low Happening vids completely different.
Waikiki
Lucky - 600 x 337 - MOV Lucky - 320 x 240 - MP4 Complicated - 600 x 337 - MOV New Technology - 320 x 240 - MP4 (TV) Here Comes September - 450 x 360 - MP4 (from forum)
So, who has upgrades? Good quality and no TV rip graphics?
Let the 'treasure hunt' begin !

I have:
4play documentary (from CD) mpg 156MB Blessed Night avi 25MB 320 x 240 (converted from youtube flv) Broken Bones avi 40MB 320 x 240 (converted from youtube flv) Low Happening avi (2nd one) 22MB 320 x 240 (converted from youtube flv) Setting Sun avi 41MB 320 x 240 (converted from youtube flv) Cities Burning Down avi 103MB 320 x 240 (converted from HB.net flv)
(I used to have the first Low Happening video until my PC crashed a while ago. It was one of the first things they put on the original website in the early days, October-ish 2005. Is it on youtube?)
Waikiki: Complicated avi 20MB 640 x 480 (converted from mov file) Here Comes September avi 40MB 320 x 240 (converted from youtube flv)
I'm not bothered about Lucky because I don't like Joel singing! Stick to guitar and backing vocals, son.
The 4play documentary, Cities Burning Down and Complicated videos are pretty good picture quality, the others not right good. The Cities video conversion from flv to avi has made the band all look taller and thinner than they actually are! For some reason it has slightly changed the aspect ratio, or whatever it's called.

There's also a good interview on youtube, done by an aussie female interviewer, she quotes HB as 'eerier than Twin Peaks'...it's the interview where Juanita is wearing a sexy scarf.

That would probably be the "In the Raw" interview, which I once saw in better quality than on youtube. A quick google might locate it.

I would like that too!
And don't forget that the second Low Happening video is on one of the CD singles as a mpg - can't remember which one.

This is wizzo! The copy I used to have before my computer crashed was a small, grainy one ripped from the original website HB.com in late 2005. Compared to that, this is HDTV.
Carpathian, you are a hero. One question - what is 'Rage', from where the video appears to be taken?
And I recommend that anybody who has never seen this does so now!

Carpathian, you are a hero. One question - what is 'Rage', from where the video appears to be taken? Cheers - just sharing what I have! If anybody looks and the link has expired then I'll re-up them again. 'rage' is an Aussie music video show. Loads of ripped vids seem to come from there. Any best choices for the next couple I should add to that folder? See my list in the first post if any are upgrades to what you have.

xanthein was asking earlier about the video done at the Barfly gig for Low Happening.
The 'stage performance' video doesn't seem to have any audience present, but the gig shots for the 'story' video were done at the Barfly, London, on November 23rd 2006.
P.S. I've converted the 'story' video from mov to avi and that's better quality too than those I've seen before.

Yes clac, I have it on dvd. It's from the Album Chart Show on Channel 4 I think. It'll take some time for me to convert it to avi or wmv. Unless somebody else has it one of these formats already....?
You seem to be really enjoying yourself on the Board - I think you've set a record for the number of "posts per jour".
