Our friend Mattchew has created a Wikipedia page for 'Heartstrings': en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heartstrings_(Howling_Bells_album)The track listing is: 1. "Paris" 2. "Possessed" 3. "Your Love" 4. "Slowburn" 5. "Tornado" 6. "Euphoria" 7. "Paper Heart" 8. "Original Sin" 9. "Reverie" 10. "Heartstrings There was also a song called "Beauty Queen" played live last year, so perhaps that will be a future B-side.

Had plenty of time to create that wikipedia page. Nobody that we are pulling security for over here wanted to go outside the wire for the two weeks preceding the Afghan elections, so that is what I worked on. This deployment is so chill though anyhow, mostly working only half days and then the rest of the time is our own. Did not know it was going to be like this so I went out and bought a cheap little laptop. Our AO is localized around Kandahar Airfield so the furthest we usually go is about ten minutes outside the gates to a few different Afghan camps. Just standing around guarding a bunch of people who make a lot more money than I do for a few hours a day. Living inside of hard structures on KAF with all of the luxuries make it pretty nice. Lots of gym & movies. Even have hard-wired internet. I could do this for three years straight, I think. Working with a lot of Aussies too, so that is pretty cool. They are all very nice Also, if anybody is interested the Rockwiz episode w/ Juanita & Steve Smyth, it is available for download in a few different qualities at different public and private tracker torrent sites. Juanita is featured throughout the episode. It was actually a pretty funny and entertaining show.

Thanks, blade. Yeah, I don't want to leave. This is kind of a funny story that you guys might like. So, just today me and another guy were put on an airport detail where we guarded four civilian contractors who are customs officials, and one is from Sheffield. They were supposed to meet with some Afghan colonel who had been around for a long time and had fought the Russians, but he left before we got there. They were also supposed to meet with the airport manager as well but apparently he had been blown up by an IED just a few days ago. I don't know the extent of his injuries but from what I gathered it wasn't that bad. So the guy who is the head of airport security is from Manchester, and he filled in for the airport manager. Made some friendly small talk with both of them. They were very pleasant. I did not ask either of them if they've ever heard of Howling Bells. These guys were fairly old so I figured they wouldn't know what I was talking about.
