This band will likely be of interest to people on here; namely since they moved from Sydney to London, they play music with folk and psych undertones, and (ironically?) they have 'Bells' in their name. Here's a couple of their songs.
These had me going for the repeat button a few times; I'm truly impressed by Dark Bells and I plan to be keeping a close eye on them.

This is taking me back to 1990 and Lush and Slowdive and the Darling Buds and all that new-age psychedelia ... well worth further listening.
And how many bands have 'Bells' in their name? But we know which Bells came first!!

I had the pleasure of catching their set at Beacons this weekend... Whilst their songs sound good on the studio versions, the life and colour this band play them live with is nothing short of epic. The first thing I heard after they walked offstage was the guy to my right slowly saying 'that was Fantastic!' and it really echoed my own opinion; they have a great musical tallent and an eye for writing songs which balance showy psychadelica well with catchy pop melodies. On a couple of occasions I found myself suprised that I could only count three musicians on the stage, when really they sound like the whole of Tame Impala playing... Singer & sole guitarist Teneil Throssell is a whole show unto her own, seeing her perform one realises that her dreamy, slightly off-key, shoegazey vocal style is really as bold a statement as her red velour trousersuit, frilly dress-shirt, and notably turqouise guitar; and she also has a great talent with the guitar solowork. Really they are special and in the now I'll be forever eager to hear more from them.

I meant to listen to these some more, but never got round to it. I will now, I promise.

;D To be honest you've not missed too much as there isn't much around to listen to going beyond the two songs above... Actually this inspired me to have a dig around and they do have 7" singles for Wildflower on sale on their (rather cool but not that intuitive to use) shop with digital download included - pricey but I just bought one.. Another called Want comes out early October.. They've played a few festivals & round London quite a bit, I'll of course be keeping eyes open for anything closer to Yorkshire..
