Hey guys Massive HB fan here - saw them twice in Melbourne the other month.
Anyway, I was able to have a chat to Juanita and Joel and they said they are BOTH doing solo albums in 2012.
Pretty exciting. I wonder what style they'll take

Hello to ya! Reckon I knew about the possiblity of the solo albums reading something or another already, but it's great to hear something more recent - I'm sure they'll really be something to look forward to. Never new bout that thread, it's interesting: I wonder if Joel's going to wind up in some legal battle re the rights to his own name in the US... www.joelstein.com/index2.htmlOh and Howl-y New Year!!

Whilst 2 solo albums is great on one the hand, on the other - does that mean they won't tour again in the UK for a while?

Maybe Juanita and Joel will do solo tours and we'd all go and see them, wouldn't we?

Doubting she'd mind me reposting this here; I asked Juanita via her Twitter about her album and she replied with: @incoasterble Solo album is a comin, working on who, when, where etc...! Will keep ya posted. which seems fairly reassuring

Thanks for the update incoasterble. I've just checked your Twitter account to see what you asked Juanita and I've decided I need to get one of those Twitter-to-English dictionaries because I didn't understand half the words.....
Or am I just old.......?

lol no it's just my play on Orwellian newspeak; plus twitter has a character limit so everythng needs shortening anyways. Actually I think twitter itself is a very '1984' form of communication.

Ha ha! I read 1984 when I was fourteen and was too young to fully understand what it was all about. Maybe I should read it again so I can understand Twitter talk......

1984's what I'd recommend If somebody asked me for a depressing read... I can't help but think the world actually becomes more resemblant of his prophecies every day though.

Juanita has tweeted today:
"Starting on my solo album this week....suuuuper stoked!"
Hey incoasterble, you'd better tweet her back and ask her to get a wiggle on with it. I would but I can't speak twitter!

Joel's soundcloud page: soundcloud.com/corsica-2Upon which yesterday was posted an unmixed version of a new song of his ''Dancing in the shadow of love'', and my it's brilliant! Joel really is a fantastic musician and I'm certain his forthcoming album will be something truly special. There is, unfortunately, a cloudy lining to this silver; Tommy Marth, sax player from The Killers who plays on the track; was tragically found dead last week. Words from Joel: "The last time I was with Tommy he played on a track of mine in the back of a house in Las Vegas. He was happy to just play and what a player he was. It's unmixed and you can hear him talk a little in the end. Thanks Tommy for being you. X " RIP Tommy
