Back in November 2008 Carpathian alerted me to the existence of a video for the Waikiki song "Frail", which was one of the five tracks on their EP "Presents...", released in 2000. Here's his evidence: www.mvdbase.com/video.php?id=29274It says the video was first aired December 11th, 2000. I must admit I wasn't convinced, until I saw this: www.abc.net.au/rage/archive/s2578051.htmwhich shows that the "Frail" video and other Waikiki and Howling Bells videos were played on Aussie video channel Rage on Saturday May 23rd, 2009. So, a plea. Has anybody got a copy of this video or even seen it? I guess it was never played outside Australia so I'm probably dependent on Mattcambie and Googol, our two resident Aussies. Please ask your brothers, sisters, mothers, grannies, colleagues, workmates, roommates, teammates, Friends, Romans, Countrymen if they've got a copy of this video. You'll be making an old man happy if you can find it. And while I'm at it, does anybody have a better copy of the "New Technology" video than the one on Youtube where the sound and picture aren't synchronised and the picture quailty is poor?

I think your best bet would be to get a hold of Rage, because they do have copies of videos that aired on their show. I downloaded a copy of Broken Bones back in November off of filestube and it was from the show because it had the Rage logo displayed briefly at the start. It's clean and looks to be the same generation as the one from Zoomslide.

Good idea. I'll email Rage to see if they can help. The "Low Happening" and "Here Comes September" videos I have have the Rage logo too.

It's interesting that you mentioned that, blade, because I watched that night of rage. In fact, that was the first time I really got into Howling Bells (I'd heard Waikiki, Low Happening and Into the Chaos before, but I didn't really know them), mainly because I liked their guest programming. So, if you're interested, every song up until Broken Bones was chosen by Juanita and Joel with a bit of an introduction every few songs or so. I don't have a copy of the video, unfortunately, but I did see it. I think it was on a stage, in a foresty type setting, but that might have been Low Happening. It definitely exists, though.
