I've been trying to pull up the gigography at Xanthein's site but for some reason it won't open. Can somebody please confirm which date it was that they played Jacksonville, April 22 or 23?

I have them playing Jacksonville with The Killers on April 21st 2007, with the 22nd and 23rd as free days. Maybe it's wrong? The gigography opened OK for me from xanthein's website but it's way out of date, so I'll email him to update it. In the meantime, here's the latest version, updated December 10th 2009: www.megaupload.com/?d=Z5TK8081

No, it probably was the 21st, but I don't think it was with The Killers, that date is not any of their schedules that I've seen anyways. I just assumed it was April 22 or 23 judging by their next four dates.
Why did they stop The Killers tour when they did and play little clubs instead?
Edit: Oh, I forgot, thanks for that gig link blade, but it says it is temporarily unavailable.

I'll have to check that, whether it was with The Killers or not. I thought they finished with The Killers on April 21st and then moved up the east coast to play a few gigs on their own, at small venues, but I'll see if I can double check.
You're too quick with the Megaupload link! I've noticed before they sometimes don't seem to work straightaway but go back a few minutes later and it's OK. It worked for me just now. Let me know if you keep having a poblem with it and I'll try another upload somewhere else.

I don't know how that type of thing works, maybe it was a contract or something where they could only play so many dates with them or whatever. I dunno. But you'd think they'd want to play a huge place like Madison Square Garden rather than just a tiny club.
The link still isn't working, but it's no big deal. No hurries, just whenever you get around to it is cool.

Thanks, blade, it worked for me now. I just had to wait a little while.
The reason I wanted to know the date they played in Jacksonville is because I read that Joel said that this was the lowest point in their career so far and that Brendan had been pepper-sprayed there as well.
I also did not realize that just a few dates earlier in Austin, Brendan had hurt his back and went to the hospital and could not play the next three shows. I was just trying to connect the dots in this period of time.

That April 21st date in Jacksonville was a festival called "Freebird", not supporting The Killers. I'm trying to find where I got that from, but no success yet.
I remember reading once about Brendan's back injury - didn't a roadie have to stand in for him? A guy called Adam? There's something there in the back of my mind but I can't recall where I read it.

Is this Adam Carr? He's the guitar tech who has worked for the band for a couple of years.

I wondered too if he could be "Cluny", stolen from Newcastle.
Mattchew, I forgot to say well done for tracking down those links - I might include a paragraph about Brendan's mishaps on the Wiki page.
And you've reassured me that my memory is working fine - I knew I remembered that name Adam from somewhere!

Thanks, blade.
The "bad week" situation with Brendan I'm not sure that there's really that much there as far as important information regarding the band goes but if you can make it work I say go for it.
