Lee keeps on throwing up these flashing banner headlines at the top of the page and challenges us to spot them!
Howling Bells are supporting Coldplay on some of their European dates. I won't bore you with the full tour details, but here are the important bits:
AUGUST 27: LTU Arena, Dusseldorf, Germany - with Howling Bells & Killians 29: Reitstadion Riem, Munich, Germany - with Howling Bells & Killians
SEPTEMBER 2: Stade de Suisse, Bern, Switzerland - with Howling Bells & Pegasus

I don't like Coldplay, so it will be too expensive for me to go to Düsseldorf. They should do a show between the 2 dates in Düsseldorf... By the way: The Second Support Act is called Kilians. It's just one "L" Pretty cool young german indie band from my small neighbour town. You should check them out. My 2 favorite Kilians songs: Enforce Yourself www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZMaai3LbDgFool to Fool www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcrF8xUYIYU

If you scroll down far enough you'll see a pic of Joel and Glenn playing a "very competitive" game of table tennis in the bowels of the Dusseldorf arena: www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=6594By the way, the Coldplay forum has 42,000 members. Give me the intimacy of Chasing Lullabies any day!

Haha, they look like they're enjoying themselves. ;D I wonder who won?
I've never had the interest in going to that forum. Howling Bells are better. Wish it was a little more active here tho.

Yeah, you're right. The 'family atmosphere' here is great but a little more activity would be welcome.

I've been to the Coldplay gig in Düsseldorf, the Bells were there and I immediately fell in love with the music although I've never heard anything of them. I became so fascinated because their music is edgy and melodic at the same time - is it just me or is this kind of music very hard to find? And Juanitas voice - never heard such a "virtuos" female rock singer. By the way: stupid newbie question but how do you pronounce Juanita? The spanish way or an english pronounciation- an interviewer did that but it sounded a bit odd to me.
I would even dare to say that they're much better live than in the studio - there's is such a dynamic between the band on stage that I cannot describe with words. Too bad that I missed half of the concert because I went to the drinking stand before they started....I hope they're coming soon to Germany as a main act. Did everyone of you ever saw them live?

Yes, it's pronounced in the Spanish way, but not with quite the same flourish that someone from Madrid or Sevilla might use.
I think most people here have seen Howling Bells live at least once. Me, six times, but others are well into double figures. I've just posted some decent quality (better than Youtube) videos (from my home town - I was there!) in the "Live" section if you're interested.

Sorry, a mistake. I said I put those vids in the "Live" section. They're really in the "Media" section.
