I was just wondering about how to make this board known to the Bells and to more fans. It would be a pity if there would be a dozen different fan boards in a year. Not because I think that other boards which might arise are bad, but just because I think it's very practical to have all fans together in one board.
For example, Hotel Womb, the fan forum for The Church, was (as far as I know) the first real internet fan forum about that band and soon made contact with them (maybe on some gigs). As a result, the band's homepage linked to that forum (and the forum to the band's site of course). Nowadays "Hotel Womb" is (aparat from a mailing list) THE unofficial fan forum about The Church, band members read it occasionally and at least the singer even posts rarely.
Maybe it's a good idea to contact the Bells, tell them this board exists (if that hasn't been done already) and ask them if they could create a link to the fan board on their new site. I could do that using my MySpace account, if there's no other way to contact them...

That's a great idea, but how do we do it? I tried hanging round around the back after the Leeds gig (before Mercury Rev came on) hoping they'd come out so I could have a chat, but no luck. We need someone to talk to the band after a gig, or maybe email somebody at Independiente?

I think that's a great idea to get in touch with them about the board! I'm sure they'd be flattered that a fan board was created!

Lee, you should give it a try.
Damn, if I had known about that board two weeks earlier I could have asked the band. I saw Juanita talking with some fans near the backstage door, and Glenn, who I talked with a little bit, did the merchandising.

Three cheers, at least! Great news. I'd say these good news are worth the longer wait for the new album. March then.... sigh...

Three hundred cheers more like. Pity about the delay, but well done Lee and Juanita, if you're reading this, we all love you!!

These "smart" email forms are pretty annoying. Suggestion: post the HTML code in a new post or thread here on the board and just send her the link to that post. If she then clicks on that link in her email she'll be directed to the post containing the HTML code here, and she can copy&paste it.

;D
She'll probably has to surround the HTML code for the link with a new line in order to make the link to the fan board appear in a new line (if that's what she wants, and if MySpace doesn't do it automatically):
<p><a href="http://howlingbells.proboards105.com">TEXT</a></p>

I just realized there are no links here to the HB main site and their MySpace site. Is there a possibility to put such links here? If the HB linked to this board one day this board should link to them in return. Good link exchange, so to speak :-)

did they link the board on the myspace page? i didn't find it. you may contact someone on the official website, if it's someone like the admin of the site, maybe he'll be able to do it pretty quickly
