I'm up in the middle of the night watching Giants v Eagles. Giants down 14 with 2 mins to go....
As usual mattchew you've posted too much good stuff to comment on individually. Loads of pics and vids - the Homebake interview and the Spotlight TV session especially good.

Hey, I didn't know you get American football there? You must be more of an NFL fan then I am. Me thinks it's a bit boring. College football I love though, it's my favorite sport. It's just a different tempo, more exciting. Homebake interview was insightful. Especially for finding out what interests Glenn. He's a cool dude. I wasn't too impressed with the camera work for SpotlightTV. The constant movement seemed was a little overkill. Felt like I was a shark in the ocean! ;D

I was at that gig. I was feeling a bit worried about it because Juanita seemed to be having trouble with her voice at Homebake, but they were all on top form that night. The new songs were great, nice and raw, with strong vocals, and it was Glenn's birthday (as well as The Zoo's) so it was a pretty nice gig. We even got Wishing Stone as an encore. So thanks a lot for the find, mattchew.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the new album.

Welcome googol - you're only our second Aussie member!
Two questions:
1) Do you know anyone who recorded the new songs (audio or video)?
2) How did you hear about the message board? It's always interesting to know.

We could use a few more members too, so if you have any mates that are fans of the band.... I have to admit I'm a bit envious when I see in OZ right now it's sunny and a comfortable 75 degrees, and over here there's like 1 million feet of snow on the ground! But anyway, thanks for what brew?

Excellent photos. Very professional and slick stuff. It was nice to see the gig list too in the first pic although the end part of the songs was blurred. Does anybody have the song list somewhere?

blade, no, I don't know anybody who recorded the new stuff, sorry. I did like the new songs, they don't sound anything like the pop sensibility of Radio Wars or the melancholic soundscape of Howling Bells, though - more of a vocally-charged eclectically raw sound, with guitar solos. As for the second question, well I found out about this message board by basically typing in 'Howling Bells' and 'Forum' into a search engine, to see if there was one. Needless to say, there was, and I just lurked a bit for a while before I bothered joining. That's pretty much it. edit - chrome, if you can read it up to 'Loudest Engine of All', the last two are probably 'Radio Wars Theme' and 'Encore' (which was actually Wishing Stone) respectively. I could be wrong, though. hyperactive overdone second edit: I was wrong. It's the same as the setlist at the Corner Hotel, which has a good picture here www.fasterlouder.com.au/gallery/13352/photo/727865/Howling-Bells.htm, confirming that it's Treasure Hunt and Theme, with the long line at the bottom listed as the Wishing Stone encore. Phew!
